About Mercedes Vega

Mercedes Vega is a a surrealist painter, illustrator, and graphic designer. Much of her work explores her journey with spirituality and the relationship between humans and animals, as well as personal experiences and her perspective of the world around her. With influences as diverse as James Jean, Stella Blu, and Salvador Dali, is it all synthesized into cohesive bodies of work. Everything is an exploration of stepping out of her comfort zone and experimenting with different colors, themes, styles, and techniques.

Vega received her Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts with a concentration in digital at Fayetteville State University, and currently works as an independent artist.
